Prices

All ceremonies would receive a no obligation meeting (usually up to an hour) prior to your decision to choosing me.

Weddings and Vow Renewals - Starting from £725

This includes:

  • Meetings with you before the ceremony (meetings may also take place via Zoom/WhatsApp/Facetime)

  • Unlimited consultation via telephone/email/video calls before the ceremony

  • Creation of your bespoke script for the ceremony

  • 1 hour rehearsal session

  • Attendance at and delivery of the ceremony itself.

Additional Charges
Certain aspects of the ceremony may incur extra charges e.g.

  • Handfasting Cords; Unity Candles; Sand; Stones (this is not an inclusive list). These will be discussed at meetings with you and only ordered, if agreed by yourself.

  • Travel, if further than 40 miles radius from my home.

  • Accommodation and sustenance to a reasonable standard, if an overnight stay is required.

Payment Schedule - Invoices will be issued to you as follows:

  • Booking and Writing Fee - 50% of the total fee, invoiced at time of booking, non-refundable after 14 days.

  • Final 50% due four weeks before the date of ceremony

  • Travel will be invoiced when travel occurs outside of the limit detailed above.

  • Accommodation and sustenance will be either paid directly by you or invoiced by me.

Payment should be made via BACS to the account detailed on invoices. Stuart Atherton Celebrant's
payment terms are seven days. Cheques will only be accepted by prior agreement. The Booking will not be confirmed until the Booking Fee has been received.

Funerals - Ranging from £199 - £250

This fee will be in line with the Church of England Parochial fees.
I liaise with funeral directors to ensure the correct pricing. Usually, you would pay the funeral director for my services and they then forward the payment to me. This is so that you don’t have to worry about multiple payments. I am happy with this arrangement but if you felt the need to pay me directly, of course, I would respect that.

  • Meeting with the chief mourner and your family before the ceremony (meetings may also take place via Zoom/WhatsApp/Google-Meet)

  • Unlimited consultation via telephone/email/video calls before the ceremony

  • Creation of the bespoke funeral ceremony

  • Attendance at and delivery of the ceremony itself.

Naming ceremonies - Starting from £400

This includes:

  • Meetings with you and your family before the ceremony (meetings may also take place via Zoom/WhatsApp/Google-Meet)

  • Unlimited consultation via telephone/email/video calls before the ceremony

  • Creation of your bespoke script for the ceremony

  • 1 hour rehearsal session 

  • Attendance at and delivery of the ceremony itself.
